dairy (it is hypoallergenic). 100 capsules per bottle.
NUTRITION INFORMATION: Microorganisms
that inhabit our skin and mucus membranes establish a miniature ecosystem with our bodies to
maintain health and well being. Although the microflora ecosystem is generally stable, it is
sensitive to certain factors. In such cases, the normal flora may be replaces by
toxin-producing or pathogenic bacteria that may be associated with all manner of acute
symptoms and/or chronic generative disease. Numerous factors can adversely affect the
microflora ecosystem, including:
- The use of broad spectrum antibiotics
- Dietary factors including meats from animals given antibiotics
- Imporper fiber intake causing gastrointestinal disturbances
- Fruits and vegetables which often contain residues from pesticides and herbicides
- Pathogeninc mocro organisms- an otherenvironmental factors which adversely affect the
microflora
When toxin-producing or pathogenic bacteria inhabit the intestine, wide-ranges of
effects occur. Several manifestations of these ocurrences are listed in Table 1.
| Table 1. |
MANIFESTATIONS OF TOXIN-PRODUCING BACTERIA
|
| Digestive disorder: |
flatulence; bloating; intestinal pain; constipation or diarrhea; colitis |
| Systemic disorders: |
asthma; bronchitis; body achesl arthritis |
| Disturbed senses: |
taste; smell; vision; hearing impairment |
These manifestations correlate closely with problems observed in the condition of
poly-systemic chronic candidiasis. The first published report of the healthful effects
of L. acidophilus, Bifidus and FOS date back to the early 1900's. Since then, numerous
reports have been published concerning the beneficial effects of these microorganisms.
Results of these studies are summarized in Table 2.
L. acidophilus, L. Bifidus (Bifidus longum), and FOS are all normal inhabitants of the
human intestinal tract, and are ususlly considered for dietary supplementation. The
qualities possessed by bacteria used for dietary supplementation are:
- They should be normal inhabitants of the host intestine or be capable of adapting to
the host intestinal environment (e.g. bile resistance).
- They must survive passage into the intestine and be capable of establishing in the
intestine, particularly the small intestine where physiological activities associated
with digestion and absoption of nutrients would be expected to occur.
- They must perform functions that are advantageous to the host.

To emphasize the importance of a balanced microbial population in the healthy intestine,
UAS Laboratories has combined these heathful microorganisms into one product.
Microorganisms, like nutrients, work in concert. By combining these heathful microorganisms
into one product, DDS Plus is a broad-spectrum product providing the complete picture of
intestinal microbial protection.
DDS® PLUS:
is a complete microorganism supplement for the intestine.
