1. What is your role at UAS Labs?
Quality Manager for the Wausau location.
I oversee the sanitation, quality assurance and quality control groups at our Wausau location. It is the responsibility of these teams to ensure we are producing a safe wholesome product that meets our customers’ needs and all regulatory requirements.
2. Where did you go to school and what did you study?
I’ve got a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Carthage College and a Master’s in Public Health from University of South Florida where I focused on HIV research, treatment and outreach.
3. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love to fish, and I love to cook.
I’ve spent the last few years mastering the perfect cast iron seared rib-eye, as well as smoking tons of different meats and cheeses.
My efforts in cooking have been far more successful than my efforts in fishing.
4. Favorite Food?
Mashed potatoes and gravy with chicken tenders.
5. Any pets?
I’ve got a very cute, loveably naughty rescue pup named Ranger.

6. What was your first job?
My first job was driving a tractor, shoveling gravel and fighting off small wild life at a farm. Shortly thereafter, I was promoted to counting boxes in a food manufacturing warehouse.
7. What is something you have done or plan to do on your “bucket list”?
I really want to take the Empire Builder Train from Chicago, IL all the way to Seattle, WA. I’d love to kick back on a train for a few days with nothing to do but relax snack and enjoy the scenery.
8. What are you known for?
I’d like to say I’m known for my quick wit and strict dedication to food safety and quality, but my pals and colleagues might argue against the first part of that statement.
9. You can have unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what is it?
Cereal. There’s a strange phenomenon in my house where cereal seems to magically disappear. There are two adults and no children living in the home and I’ll buy a box of cereal and POOF it’s gone and neither of us seem to know what happened to it. I’d love to have a cabinet that magically managed our cereal demand and consumption – a cereal MRP system would be great.
10. If you could have dinner with any famous or historical figure, who would it be?
I’d love to have dinner and cocktails with Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.
11. What do you enjoy most about working at UAS Labs?
I really enjoy working in food and supplement manufacturing. The world of contract manufacturing is especially fast paced which means there are no boring days.
