1. What is your role at UAS Labs?
Regional Sales Manager.
I love what I do! I get to work with people all over the world with diverse backgrounds to help them launch probiotic products. I have been at UAS for 5 years and I am currently a Regional Sales Manager.
My focus is the Midwest, South Asia, and Inside Sales.
2. Where did you go to school and what did you study?
I’m very blessed to have such a great education and support network! I attended Beloit College and double majored in Molecular Biology, & Economics and Management. Right now, I am an MBA Candidate at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. I’m super excited, in less than a week I will receive my MBA in General Management! Also, I will have Certificates in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Innovation.
3. Being a highly active member in your MBA program, what did you enjoyed most about the program?
I really enjoyed the global business component in the program. Our cohort of 54 people had a chance to travel together to South Africa where we visited large multinationals, non-profits, and local businesses. Water scarcity is a big issue in Africa and many parts of the world. We made our mark by donating and working with The Water Project to install a water system that now serves a village of over 500 people with safe and clean water. In addition, we raised funds for two children to attend Kliptown Youth Program in Johannesburg. This nonprofit provides education, food, and a safe place play for two children.
Both initiatives could not have been possible without UAS Labs financial support and commitment to giving back.
South Africa is a beautiful country, and I recommend a visit if you have the opportunity! Here is a photo after our long hike up to the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town.
4. What languages do you speak?
Besides English I speak Kannada, a South Indian language.
I also hope to become fluent in conversational Spanish. If this means more trips to Mexico than so be it. 😉
5. Tell us one thing you love to do, see or eat when you visit India?
Besides eating all the delicious food, I love seeing my big family. My parents moved to the United States when I was very little, so I miss my family a lot. We always have a great time when we are together!
6. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
7. Favorite Food?
Wisconsin Cheese and Ice Cream of course 🙂
8. Any Pets?
Bhishma, my black lab mix. He is named after a great warrior in the Indian Epic, The Mahabharata. He couldn’t be a bigger scardy cat though.
9. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of good enough”
10. Do you play any musical instruments?
The viola, but I don’t play as much as I would like to. This is something I picked up in 4th grade at Shorewood Elementary in Madison and has stuck with me since then.
11. If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
There are so many things I would do. I guess I would spend half of this time playing tennis because I really like the game, and the other half eating because I am a Foodie. I would burn off what I consume, right? 😉
12. What do you enjoy most about working at UAS Labs?
I really like the people that I get to work with because everyone is so incredibly supportive. People care about each other’s personal and professional goals and want to help make those goals a reality. We build each other up and I am so happy to represent such an organization!
